Hey you
If you’ve ever been down bad with a stress headache, had anxiety that made you run to the bathroom, or felt radically better after a little mental health walk, then you’re already pretty familiar with the mind-body connection. And if you’re someone who has dealt with chronic health issues or mental health concerns, then you know how enmeshed the two can be.
So, this month, we’re focusing on the intersection of physical and mental health. We’re digging into all the ways your body impacts your mind—and vice versa. How health issues (whether sudden or ongoing) can affect you mentally. All the strange and surprising physical symptoms brought on by stress, anxiety, and depression. And what to do if your physical health is actually the source of your anxiety.
But we’ll also be talking about solutions and coping strategies. Knowing what we know about the mind-body connection, how can we use that to our advantage? And, maybe most importantly, how can we better advocate for ourselves when something feels off? Let’s get into it.
