Already Over It?

Welcome to your no-shame destination for prioritizing rest this year.

Hey you

So, 2024 was a lot. It’s OK if you don’t have the energy or motivation to do much of anything right now. Despite what society and social media would lead you to believe, you actually don’t have to spend January overhauling your life, setting big goals, and being your most productive self.

I mean, if you’re into that kind of thing, awesome. We love that for you. But if it feels overwhelming or awful, remember that you can start anything at any time. There’s no reason that the new year needs to coincide with a new you.

And, when you think about it, January is still prime time for hibernating. In the Northern Hemisphere at least, the days are cold and the sun peaces out before dinner. The bears are still chillin’ in their winter dens and have never even heard of “New Year, New You.” Honestly, what a life.

So, consider this your permission to take it easy and just go back to bed for a little while. Ease into 2025. Because if all you do this month (or year, honestly) is focus on getting enough rest, that’s a pretty big win.

The reason you want to give up halfway through the day
